My role as Loan Officer did not start out from a traditional path. Originally attending college to become an elementary school teacher, my world quickly changed once the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Luckily, my double majors in Elementary Education & Economics allowed me to be flexible in an unsteady job market. While reviewing my job prospects, becoming a mortgage professional quickly moved to the top of my list. Loan Origination incorporated the social aspect of working with clients that I enjoy most, with the numbers that keep me sharp every day.
That being said, Loan Origination was not my first step. I began as a Loan Officer Assistant (LOA) for Jeff Davis, one of the owners of Blue Water Mortgage. I quickly began to learn the ropes of loan origination and was able to obtain my Originator’s license within a few months of starting. Now, I am working to build a large clientele through strong relationships. I am still a LOA for Jeff, but now I have the privilege of originating loans at the same time. Aspects of both jobs support each other. This translates into an increasing ability to support my clients through the mortgage process.
My goal as a Loan Officer is to listen to my client’s unique situation, so that I can find them the best loan product possible for their needs. With each interaction, I bring a strong work ethic built on an increasing knowledge of the mortgage industry and a responsiveness that my borrowers can rely on. I will do everything I can to meet and exceed my borrowers’ expectations.
