Can I refinance if I have bad credit?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Refinancing with a low credit score is possible, but you might be burdened with higher interest rates — meaning higher monthly payments. Lenders have varying credit score minimums, but a score of 300 to 579 is generally considered poor. If you’re refinancing with a partner, an underwriter will determine the middle score of both borrowers and use the lower of the two.
