We are honored to do our part.” – Kristina Young, Events/Marketing Manager and Senior Loan Officer The Military Families Story Project (MFSP) uses the power of voice to strengthen families and offer veterans a simple, yet powerful way to share their stories. Using The Voice Library, a digital storytelling platform, MFSP provides emotional support for citizen soldiers and military families. The Military Families Story Project was conceived per the request from a wife of a seacoast NH service member. Claire D. challenged The Voice Library to get local sponsors to provide gift subscriptions for military families and distribute them via The Pease Greeters with the goal to emotionally bond, and support the men, women, and families during deployment and beyond. In 2010, The Voice Library was honored to be invited to the Pentagon by Col. Philbrook of the Suicide Prevention Task Force. Today, as we approach Veterans Day 2017, and amid cuts to service programs for the nation’s military, the MFSP’s mission is to deliver 300-500 digital storytelling gift subscription to pre-deployed active, reserve, military families and non-profits serving veterans.
