Blue Water Welcomes New Team Members: Ryan Burns & Nick Doucette

Blue Water Mortgage Corporation, an independent mortgage broker serving New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, Florida, North Carolina, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, and South Carolina is pleased two welcome to new team members, Ryan Burns and Nick Doucette.

One brings fresh experience as an adjunct college professor; the other as a key account manager at North East Winds.

Ryan Burns is Blue Water Mortgage’s newest loan technician. In addition to teaching undergrad and graduate students in business management, marketing, and finance at Franklin Pierce University, Ryan has earned his MBA from Franklin Pierce as well as a bachelor’s in management. He also has past experience in finance, management and banking.

Happily married to Kate, his wife of 23 years (Fun fact: They eloped to Las Vegas), Ryan is the proud father of two “terrific” sons, Spencer (currently serving in the U.S. Air Force) and Cameron (a graduate of Goffstown High School who will be attending Southern New Hampshire University in the fall).

Now living in New Boston, NH, Ryan and his family love to travel. A recent favorite excursion was a trip to Europe where they visited Spencer, who was stationed in Germany.

Ryan’s goals at Blue Water include: “being part of a great team, providing excellent customer service and growing with the company.”

Nick Doucette joins Blue Water as a loan technician after his previous role as a key account manager at North East Winds LLC, a Portsmouth-based company known for its work helping clients manage New England’s notorious winter weather challenges.

A Hampton resident who was raised in the Merrimack Valley, Nick graduated magna cum laude from Plymouth State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s in communication studies and has a passion for outdoor recreation.

His favorite activities include “skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, hiking, engaging people and learning about them, laughing, eating good food and enjoying time with my family.” Favorite local spots include the Hampton Skate Park and The Wall at Hampton Beach. He also loves to travel, with notable destinations including New Zealand, Utah and the Pacific Coast of Mexico.

Nick’s goals at Blue Water Mortgage include: “developing long-lasting relationships, supporting my fellow Blue Water members and becoming a high producer in the not-so-distant future.”

Finally, what are the odds? Ryan and Nick are both big Boston Red Sox baseball fans.
